Makeup!

I haven't actually sat down and taken the time to do my makeup nicely in so long! So today I decided to whip out the good ol' naked pallet essentials and go to work !

Non stop studying

I am so over school and studying ! It's horrible, but it's gone on for way to long ! I just want to curl up into a ball like Pablo and pass out all day! I can not wait for summer ... If it will ever come ! It doesn't look like it will be anytime soon considering it is still snowing ! Groundhog you had one job !

Spicy Meatballs

I had a package of ground chicken in my freezer and absolutely no food so as a result I had to work with what I had in order to make something delicious! I had originally made a few burgers with the ground chicken but then decided that since I have my Nonno's AMAZING spicy sauce, what better to do with ground beef than to make meatballs! 

I have severely underestimated how spicy my Nonno's sauce is (by adding more chilli peppers). I think since I have been having the regular (unspicy sauce) most of the time, I forgot how much that man loved his spice and loved to test my pallet! As a result, the meatballs turned out awesome all because of that wonderful man and his Italian ways! 

*side note: the pictures do not do justice, but the aroma definitely does 

You can't have meatballs without a some parm and a little extra seasoning to top it all off 

Weekend!

A little late - but better late than never! 

My Aunt and Uncle and their two kids came down to Canada for the kids March break, but of course I was stuck at school and couldn't come visit them in Toronto. However, they did get a chance to come up and visit me for a light dinner which was super exciting! (I'm sorry I fully forgot to take picture of the food, we got too caught up in conversation!) 

Instead here are some pictures of my daily jewelry and of the fam at dinner :) 

 My Nonno passed away in December of 2011 and for Christmas this year my parents found a set of very old coins that he had kept in his house and plated them in silver and gave them to my sister, cousin and I! I think it looks awesome on both the silver beaded chain my Mom got to go with it as well as my long Tiffany chain (in this picture)! I'm not sure if its worth anything, but its awesome to have as a little memento of him (as well as my tattoo ;)) 

Sunny days

Although it has still been snowing when its supposed to be spring, at least we have had some pretty bright and sunny days throughout the week. Of course these are the best days to be nuggling with the kitty haah  *Fingers crossed that it'll be nice and sunny on St. Patty's day this sunday* & 

With summer coming up I have decided to attempt my health kick (since I have been slacking) so here is the beginning of my fresh start. This is my home made salad with mixed greens and arugula (my fav) , tomatoes, bocconcini cheese, olives, home made balsamic vinaigrette, and poached eggs !

Cupcakes!

One of my co-workers asked if I would make some cupcakes for her friends bridal shower! I found an awesome chocolate cupcake recipe (the bride to be really loves her chocolate) and I also found these adorable cupcake cups which made me really excited! The "rings" on top of the cupcakes didn't turn out as well as they did the first time which is a major bummer... I was being silly and rushed it 

Generally when I made my home made cupcakes I love to make home made icing as well (just for the extra originality) However, at school I don't have a hand mixer (which I know I have to invest in asap) so as a result bought icing it is :) 

These were the first ones I gave (as a sample so she could choose what design she liked best)

 I finally bought myself a nice little piping bag and a few tips! I absolutely love them! 

Baking in my student oven isn't exactly the prettiest site to see :p
